For He is Faithful

It's about two hours past Thanksgiving now (i.e. 2am) and perhaps it is not strange that the challenge to be consistently thankful would come so promptly nor so pointedly. Even as I read through my last blog, it's a little hard to "feel" what I "felt" then. Then again, my own dad is the one who always pointed out to me that we should not live according to our feelings for they often lead us astray but rather in accordance to the Spirit who leads and guides us in paths of righteousness. This is faith.

We continue in prayer, cast upon the Lord for His grace, strength and wisdom. He is faithful!

Great is Thy Faithfulness
O Lord my Father!
There is no shadow of turning with Thee.
Thou changest not. Thy compassions, they fail not.
As Thou has been Thou forever wilt be.

Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided.
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord unto me.

Summer and winter and spring time and harvest,
sun, moon and stars in their courses above
join with all heaven in manifold witness
to Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide.
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow.
Blessings all mine with ten thousand beside!
